| Lr3IGF-1 (Long R3 Insulin-like Growth Factor-I or Long R3IGF-I) is an 83 amino acid analog of human IGF-I containing the entire human IGF-1 sequence given the substitution at position 3 of an Arg for a Glu, in addition to a 13 amino acid extension peptide at the N-terminus. This make IGF-1 LR3 extremely more potent, 2 to 3 times more potent then normal IGF-1 in studies. IGF-1 LR3 has a greater affinity for being rendered active by IGF binding protiens creating more potential activity inside the body. |
